Babs discovered her passion for the event industry at Amsterdam RAI more than 8 years ago, from which she brings extensive experience working with corporate and association clients. As founder of the Dutch Chapter of GMIC, she has vast knowledge of sustainability and new innovations in the events industry. She has been actively been involved in various industry associations and industry innovations groups. She combines strategic thinking and ability to create new business opportunities to realize sustainable business growth. Being based in Amsterdam, Babs loves using her bike to get everywhere, whether it’s to meet friends for dinner or picking her daughter up from daycare – rain or shine!
With over 25 years of sales experience, specialising from 2009 working with unique, multi-priority venues including the Barbican, Twickenham Stadium and most recently the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre, Samme combines her commercial development skills, a vast black book of corporate, agency and association clients and a passion for the industry to create a successful record of accomplishment in business growth.
When she isn’t developing the new company, Samme enjoys getting out on her bike or her feet along the rivier, fundraising and promotion of her charity, catching up with friends and family, over a glass of wine and most recently she has started writing a novel.
